You don't need to add the battery and all the other crap - snail/slug slime naturally creates an electrical current when it comes into contact with copper, which will repel them

I give my Snails a salt bath and and dish washing liquid shower , And for some unknown reason they never come back
A "beer trap" is very effective as are ground up egg shells which acts as a sharp irritant to soft bodied slugs and snails

An electric fence for the snails! Nifty! I do worry about the costs of the batteries for this one, though. Might be cheaper to use a power-brick from something that's died and run some wires out a window into the garden instead. My regular garden doesn't have to worry about being eaten by snails. They don't like Australian native plants. Too tough, I think.

I would recommend adding a 9V to 1000V step up converter after the battery. You can have snail fry with tomatoes tonight 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
