Cool custom prism brackets (thanks Joe!):

The hover pen seen on the desk is pretty neat as well:

  • FAQ TIME! If any of you have any questions, leave them in this thread and I’ll update it as they are asked :) Q: What tool was used to round the wood corners? A: Here in the UK it’s often called a surform, but rasp is also a common name Q: Isn’t the monitor too high? A: Slightly. It looks more so on video due to the perspective but it’s still pretty comfortable. It was only mounted there for this video anyway and will be moved somewhere else so I’ll make sure to have it slightly lower this time. Q: You’ve made loads of custom PCs… which ones to you actually use? A: Currently I use the brass and leather build for editing at the studio, and the large silent desk PC (the one with the glass front) is at home and used for photo editing and some gaming etc (though to be fair I haven’t played a game since last Christmas so it’s a fringe use case at the moment). Q: Have you considered watercooling the PC itself? A: Yes! I went with air cooling as it’s actually pretty decent (I still need to make some minor tweaks) but I do have plans to try watercooling the thing at some point. Q: Do you plan these videos? I mean do you make blueprints or you just have a general idea what you're gonna do and just make up on the way? A: I pretty much always just have an idea of what I want in my head, and then think through the process needed to get there, and then make it up as I go along. Q: Is making ARworlds videos your primary/ only job? A: YEP! I’m so grateful that I can do what is basically my hobby as my actual job. Q: Are you from the UK or from the US? A: Very much the UK. Q: Could you use a hydraulic system to lower the monitor in a more controlled way? A: Absolutely! It would make it more difficult to push upwards though, so keep that in mind.

    • For next level upgrade u could use a hydraulic system to ease the process. Motorized mechanism will be top notch. By the way I love your creative thinking and way of presenting it in videos. Ur doing a great job🖤

    • This is nicely done. You are an expert with building a hidden PC. Is it possible to make a room inside the DESK for storage of the wireless keyboard and mouse? Or placing a cabinet on top of the shelf? This cabinet can be use for storing the wireless keyboard and mouse.

    • In the water cooling upgrade for the PC you mentioned upgrading the monitor, did you plan on making it adjustable?

  • The greatest idea: add a door sensor to some of the panels if you have an alarm system! I mean, one on the monitor and one over the raised part of the motherboard, and nobody can steal any of the pc parts without it registering on the alarm system

  • It would be AMAZING if you actually made the monitor come out of the top of the table instead of another shelf. Maybe I should try that...

  • uh huh... imagine the thief stealing a normal table just to find out its also a PC... they would break into ppl homes (when they're on vacation) and strip the copper out of the walls, toilet bowl, even the front door, so what makes you think that they wouldn't take things like couches and tables???

  • I think the bottom of the shelf on the sides of the monitor, and possibly even above and below the screen, could be made with plexiglass that would allow light to pass through, and LEDs could be put in them to make desk lights that shine down on the surface of the desk.

  • I am so appreciate you hide the computer inside the table last time. But this one you destroy the monitor adjustment (rotation, tilt and height). May be you can consider to use single arm the fix the monitor instead of hinge. And keep the function for the adjustment.

  • The only improvement I included is a patch of adehesive velcro on the underside of the table. By also attaching adhesive velcro to the undersides of both the wireless keyboard and the wireless mouse I was able to create a (somewhat) hidden storage place for these devices. You're welcome.

  • Fab!!! I am definitely making this and the invisible computer! It would be great to motorise the screen hinge. BTW, please pass on to your sponsor, I used to use PIA for years as they had great customer support. I switched to another, who incidentally is more expensive, when PIA support went down hill. In the 8 years i was with PIA, I called support less than once per year. So I hope PIA get more than just exposure from your video.
